Visitor's Tax in Wiesbaden

As a state-recognized spa town, Wiesbaden collects a spa tax year-round. The tax is 5 euros per adult per day of stay. Guests required to pay the spa tax can receive the WiesbadenCard upon request, which offers discounts at many cultural, recreational, and sightseeing venues.

The visitor's tax, often referred to as the spa tax, is used to finance and maintain facilities and services for spa treatments, recreation, and leisure activities.

The visitor’s tax is 5.00 euros per adult per day of stay. The day of arrival and the day of departure are counted together as one day. The fee is charged for a maximum of 30 days of stay per calendar year. Business travelers as well as participants in conferences, trade shows, courses, or training programs are generally required to pay the fee.

Your advantages at a glance

Guests required to pay the visitor’s tax can receive the WiesbadenCard for the duration of their stay upon request. It is included in the visitor’s tax and does not need to be purchased separately. With the WiesbadenCard, guests can enjoy discounts at numerous partner locations in the areas of sightseeing, culture, museums, sports, and leisure. With the WiesbadenCard visitor card, you’ll receive: up to 25 percent off regular Saturday guided tours; up to 10 percent off select souvenirs at the Wiesbaden Tourist Information office; and additional discounts at museums, recreational facilities, and swimming pools.
