New Year's concert Jagdschloss Platte
You can welcome in the New Year with the traditional New Year's concert at the Jagdschloss Platte on January 1 at 3 pm. There will also be free guided tours of the castle at 1pm and 2pm.
With a great passion for music, the new year is traditionally welcomed with a concert by the Parforcehorncorps Jagdschloss Platte. And this time there will even be active support: the Bläserkorps Jagdverein Untertaunus e.V. under the direction of horn master Stefan Ochs will enrich the New Year's concert with new sound colors.
The Parforcehorncorps Jagdschloss Platte e. V. under the direction of horn master Karl-Heinz Kliegel will play historical and contemporary hunting music on natural horns without valves. The New Year's blowing at Jagdschloss Platte is always a great start to the annual hunting horn concert series for the association - as well as for concert-goers.
The concert starts at 3 pm. Admission is once again free in 2026 and no tickets are required. There is mainly standing room on site, with only a few seats available.
Free parking is available in front of the Jagdschloss Platte.
The neighboring restaurant "Jagdschloss Platte" is open from 12 noon and offers home-style cooking for refreshments before or after the concert. Drinks and snacks are also available at the kiosk on the mini golf course.
Free guided tours
The free guided tours of the castle for interested visitors in the run-up to the New Year's concert at Jagdschloss Platte have also become a tradition. On January 1, 2026, a guided tour of the historic walls will be offered by a Wiesbaden tour guide at 1 pm and 2 pm.
The Jagdschloss Platte team asks you to register in advance, as places are limited to 30 people per tour. Registrations are possible from December 27, 2025 at 10 a.m. on the page linked below (maximum four tickets per person).
