Easter market 2026
The traditional Easter market will once again offer a varied program in the city centre from Friday to Sunday, 20 to 22 March, with an arts and crafts and fabric market, Sunday shopping and a children's program.
At the 24th Easter market, guests can expect a large selection of handicrafts, textiles and decorative and unusual gift ideas at 70 stands. Visitors can also look forward to high-quality delicacies and culinary delights.
Open Sunday and fabric market
On Sunday, March 20, the stores and businesses in the historic pentagon will be open from 1 pm to 6 pm. The Easter market will be complemented on Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm by the fabric market on the Dern'schen grounds. Here, fans of the art of sewing will find a huge range of fabrics and sewing accessories at more than 100 stands.
Children's program
Two children's carousels on Mauritiusplatz and another in the pedestrian zone provide riding fun. Easter bunnies will be welcoming young and old alike with sweet surprises on all three days, and two spring-themed stilt walkers will be putting smiles on the faces of guests of all ages on the Sunday when the shops are open.
Mauritiusplatz will be firmly in the hands of children on Saturday and Sunday between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.
On Saturday, there will be crafts with Sahnehäubchen. Here, children will have the opportunity to design coloring pages on the theme of Easter and make beads and loom rubber crafts. Glitter tattoos and face painting will ensure that the little guests are styled appropriately.
On Sunday, "Thomy the Globetrotter" will be coming to Mauritiusplatz with his large wood workshop. He will be bringing handmade wooden blanks that the children can sand, drill, and decorate themselves. The popular face painting will also be available on Sunday. This will be offered on Sunday by Katrin Köchling, "Kinderschminken-Wiesbaden," at Mauritiusplatz.
Free use of bus & train
To make longer journeys to the Sunday shopping event stress-free and climate-friendly, the mayor's office is financing free use of buses and trains throughout the Wiesbaden city area. Those who choose to travel to the Easter market in a sustainable and climate-friendly manner by bicycle can park their bikes in the bicycle garage at the Dern'schen Gelände: the garage will be monitored free of charge during the event. In addition, B.O.C. is offering a free bicycle check from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday next to the bicycle garage. Visitors will have the opportunity to have their bicycles checked by experts.
