You can hear and experience it: The interactive experience tour Wiesbaden in your ear.

There is no single answer to this question. For some, the sound of the city is the cheerful babble of voices in Mauergasse at the market after work, while for others it is the parrots at the spa gardens or the chimes of the Marktkirche church. That's why the city of Wiesbaden has put together an entire tour where you can gather a wide variety of acoustic impressions.

"Wiesbaden im Ohr" has 15 stops, and the principle behind this digital discovery tour is as smart as it is simple: at prominent points throughout the city, you can scan a QR code with your smartphone that brings Wiesbaden to life acoustically – without having to download a special app.

When you're out and about in the city, you'll almost inevitably pass one or the other station: for example, at the Kurpark pond, at the Nerobergebahn tram stop, or at the Kochbrunnen fountain. You can hear the sound of the roulette ball at the Kurhaus or the Thermine tram at the market square. Your smartphone not only allows you to experience the respective location more intensely acoustically, but also, if you like, to gain insights into situations that are often inaccessible to visitors through original sounds and videos.

The nice background to the idea: the suggestions for the stations come from the people of Wiesbaden themselves. Over 100 locations were suggested, which shows that the people of Wiesbaden listen pretty well when it comes to their city. And which suggests that one or two stations could be added in the future.

15 acoustic landmarks are waiting to be discovered

So far, there are fourteen acoustic landmarks that can be experienced with photos, texts, videos and, of course, original sounds.

These include the Mauergasse with "150 meters of good mood factor", the Nerobergbahn "beautiful, quirky and unique", the Café Maldaner and its "coffee house charm for over 160 years", the Wiesbaden Casino and its "Faites vos jeux" and the Wiesbaden parakeets, which are "as green as they are loud".
