Initial certification, award on July 9, 2024
On July 9, 2024, 40 partners were certified as part of the initial certification process for the destination.
Why TourCert certification?
Certification by the consulting firm TourCert is an internationally recognized destination certification for the tourism industry. The Hessian destination management organizations (DMOs) are in charge of the process. TMH Tourismusmanagement Hessen UG provides support in the operational implementation of sustainability, a key issue for the future.
In a multi-step process, the destination assesses its current status and identifies specific areas for improvement. This cross-cutting theme is gradually integrated into the destination’s identity. Building a TourCert partner network helps us make the sustainability efforts of the destination and its service providers visible and tangible for both locals and visitors.
Receiving the award in 2024 marks the start of a collaborative process with our service providers, in which we implement measures to further develop the destination. As part of sustainable tourism development, offerings and structures are continuously reviewed and adapted to promote high-quality, future-oriented tourism development.
